Jon Anderson, aka Ando, of the Herald Sun was last night drink driving and Careless driving after he drove his car into a Pizza shop in Glen Iris! Wow! Imagine if this was an AFL player? Would it get the four line coverage that the Herald Sun website has given it? Or would it be more like 4 pages? Ando is reported to have recorded a blood alcohol reading of .139. Seeings as the crash is reported to have taken place at 7:15pm, thats a fair effort!

Will this mean that Ando will have to face the News leadership group? Will the media be calling for him to be suspended, like they would if he was a player? Will there be a call that jurnos have too much time on their hands and should be made to have real jobs? Will there be calls for drug testing of Jurnos (especially alcohol that has in the past been an issue in that profession)? Nah. They will say no one cares and hope that a player does something wrong so they can move onto it!

Well my advice to Ando, if you you drink and drive, your an idiot and a dickhead! Perhaps next time, don’t spend so long “At the Bar” with Robo (on the irony of that column)!!!

UPDATE:

According to NineMSN article, the Pizza shop was so badly damaged that they had to put up supports in the rear of the building as they feared for the store.

Also interestingly, the small headline that was on the Frontpage of the Herald Sun site is now gone! Can anyone spell “hypercrits”?
